The Reality No One Talks About
Corporate loyalty is gone. Headcount decisions happen overnight. These are not edge cases anymore — they're the new normal in India's job market.

The Product Vision
We haven't launched yet. This is the model we're designing — your survey shapes the final product.
Choose how much of your income to contribute monthly — between 2.5% and 7.5%. Your coverage amount and duration are set accordingly.
Your contribution is auto-debited — less than what most people spend on a weekend outing. It goes into a regulated pooled fund.
Submit your claim with proof of redundancy. After verification, receive your full monthly salary credited directly to your bank — for up to 6 months.
This product doesn't exist yet — we are in active research and design. Your survey response directly shapes what gets built, who gets priority access, and how premiums are priced.

About This Effort
Questions about where we are, what we're doing, and what your data is used for.
We are in the demand validation phase — the very first step before any product is built. This survey helps us understand whether the problem is real enough, who feels it most acutely, and what price people would genuinely pay. No product exists yet, and no regulatory licences have been filed. We are a small founding team conducting structured market research.
Not yet — but this is on our explicit roadmap. Once we validate demand through this survey, our next step is to engage with a licensed non-life insurer as an underwriting partner and begin the IRDAI product filing process. Income protection insurance falls under non-life (general insurance) in India. We have already taken preliminary legal counsel on the regulatory path.
Directly and specifically. We use the data to: (1) identify which industries and salary bands have the strongest demand — these get prioritised for the first coverage pool, (2) set premium % brackets that are actuarially viable but actually affordable, (3) decide on coverage duration (3 vs 6 vs 12 months), and (4) identify features that belong in V1 rather than saved for later.
Our target is a limited pilot in Q4 2026, subject to completing this research phase, securing an insurance underwriting partner, and IRDAI product approval (typically 3–6 months). We will communicate clearly with all survey respondents about milestones and will not overpromise timelines.
Your individual response is never shared or sold. We analyse survey data in aggregate only. Your name and email are stored separately from your survey answers and used only to contact you about Salary Shield updates. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us. We comply with India's DPDP Act 2023.
No standalone income-protection product exists in India's retail market today. Some group policies bundled with home loans cover EMI protection on job loss, but these are narrow, loan-linked products. In the UK, Income Protection Insurance is mainstream. In the US, short-term disability insurance plays a similar role. India is a decade behind — and that's the gap we're building for.
Founding members are survey respondents who opted in for follow-up contact. When we launch they receive: (1) priority access before general availability, (2) a permanently locked premium rate below standard launch pricing, and (3) the option to join a founding member advisory group that shapes the product roadmap. No obligations, no payment required now.
